just blurted it

so i was riding the train to bakos with e & m to pick up my ride which is now ready for crusin. we were not yet to hanford when the train stopped to let another by. i was just lookin around checkin out some pretty standard central valley scenery when my eyes scanned down closer to the ground and i saw this.

i know it is pretty hard to make out, but without trying too hard you can see a camouflaged out shady dude with a big gun. when i think back about seeing this guy it makes total sense that he was probably just out there hunting birds or something, but when i first saw him i just blurted, "there is a sniper out there." was it just because he was in camouflage? was it that he had a rifle that looked big and vicious? was it because of a post 9/11 terrorist threat fearing, media driven america? was it because of all of the sniper bs that went down back east a couple of years ago? was it a combination of all of those? none of those ideas really make much sense, but they would have if he had pointed the gun and shot something, anything. but he didn't. is it because i never hunted growing up? i don't really know, but i am just weirded out that i was so shocked by it. any thoughts?
